Mr. René-Lukas
Fritsch made a skiing trip to Saas Fee, Switzerland in 1964 where
he met a Dutch gentleman who was looking for a distributor in Switzerland
for his business. Mr. Fritsch decided he wanted to work with
this company and he soon set up the company Schleiftechnik AG and
began distributing grinding tools and materials for all kinds of
metal and stone.
The business flourished and more products were added such as abrasive
grinding discs and diamond discs. Schleiftechnik AG eventually outgrew it’s
original location and moved the business to a new and larger location
in 1985 where a new office building with warehouse and workshop
was built and is still in use today.
Another Milestone in the history of Nestag came when Mr. Fritsch
senior retired and his son, Mr. Donat Fritsch, the current Managing
Director, took over the company. At the same time, the name
changed from Schleiftechnik AG to Neue SchleifTechnik AG,
or NESTAG AG for short.
In 1992, when ICS developed the first handheld concrete chainsaw, Nestag
AG was among the first distributors in Europe for this revolutionary
new technology. Today, one demo man with a demo truck supports
six regional managers with ICS demos throughout Switzerland. With
22 employees and several trainees, Nestag is still growing and distributing
ICS products in Switzerland and is one of the leading suppliers of ICS
in Europe. |
