What are you doing different today to earn and ensure new business?
Are your actions the same as they have always been? Or, are they forward thinking, and designed to lock onto the next new trend in the market, or next new method to serve that market?
As business owners, managers, and leaders we should be asking ourselves these questions about our company and our own actions at least once per week. We all need to set aside time to make sure we do this. Heck, even schedule yourself! As an example, it is this kind of reflection time that has allowed ICS to shift gears and develop a new technology like PowerGrit™ which allows growth in an entirely new market like utilities and ductile iron pipe cutting.
I understand that behavior change is not easy when we get caught up in the fast-paced grind of business and life, particularly with today’s technology stimuli. I applaud those people and organizations with a flexible attitude, and those who make reflection a regular part of their operating style.
